Ep. 108 Coaching Series – Session 3: Tracy Coaches Dez on Imposter Syndrome

Have you ever felt imposter syndrome? It’s normal, especially when you’re embarking on something new. In this episode, Dez talks about a variety of new ventures she’s pursuing – launching a development program for young women, staring a rental operations business, and writing a book. She is resisting the feeling of self-doubt, but Coach Tracy helps Dez to recognize it’s ok to have that feeling. It’s about being aware of the feeling and processing it, so that the primitive (or primal) brain doesn’t overpower the prodigy (or powerful) brain. Being aware is the difference between choosing fear or choosing faith. The thought that helps Dez with facing imposter syndrome is: “trust the process.” Transformation takes time.
